CERTIFIED TRANSLATION
CERTIFIED translation
A certified, or sworn, translation is done by an accredited translator who has sworn an oath before an Appeal Court.
A certified translation is recognised as an official document by the courts and the authorities.
This type of translation may be necessary for translations of official and/or administrative documents such as civil status documents (birth certificate, marriage certificate, identity card, driving licence, etc.), judgments, deeds, official translation of academic qualifications/certificates, etc.
The certified translator affixes their signed and dated seal to the translation to certify that it is legally sound.
